SEOUL, Jan. 19 (UPI) -- North Korea Friday cited "certain agreement" at the latest bilateral talks with the United States over the nuclear standoff.
Pyongyang's Foreign Ministry confirmed that Vice Foreign Minister Kim Kye Gwan met U.S. top nuclear envoy Christopher Hill on Jan. 16-18 in Berlin to discuss the the communist country's nuclear issue.
"We paid attention to the direct dialogue held by the DPRK (North Korea) and the U.S. in a bid to settle knotty problems in resolving the nuclear issue," a ministry spokesman told the North's state-run Korean Central News Agency.
The three-day meeting took place "in a positive and sincere atmosphere, and a certain agreement was reached there," it said. But the news agency provided no details about the agreement.
Upon arriving in Seoul, Hill also described his talks with Kim as "substantive" and "useful."
