Spike Lee's 'She's Gotta Have It' dated for Thanksgiving in new teaser

June 27 (UPI) -- Netflix will release Spike Lee's upcoming re-imagination of his classic 1986 film She's Gotta Have It on Thanksgiving according to a new teaser.

The clip, released Monday, features a quick look at the 10-episode series and its star DeWanda Wise as the new Nola Darling as she rises up from her bed.

The Brooklyn-based show will feature an extended version of the film's plot as Nola Darling juggles having three lovers played by Cleo Anthony, Lyriq Bent and Hamilton alum Anthony Ramos.

"Nola Darling is back. See her struggle to define herself and divide her time among friends, job, and three lovers in this new take on Spike Lee's classic film," reads the synopsis.

Lee directed all 10 episodes of the series which he also created and produced.
