LOS ANGELES, May 25 (UPI) -- Christina Aguilera and Ariana Grande performed a show-stopping duet on Tuesday's episode of The Voice.

The 35-year-old Voice coach and 22-year-old singer delivered a powerhouse rendition of Grande's song "Dangerous Woman" on the NBC reality competition's Season 10 finale.

Aguilera had announced the duet Monday, writing, "Excited to share the stage with @ArianaGrande." Grande followed up by tweeting, "Over the [moon], beyond excited to be sharing the stage w @xtina on @NBCTheVoice."

The Voice coach was originally slated to perform with a hologram of Whitney Houston. The late singer's estate nixed the project, however, with Houston's executor, Pat Houston, explaining the hologram was "not ready to air."

Aguilera's contestant, Alisan Porter, was crowned the Season 10 winner on the episode. The win marked Aguilera's first victory in her six seasons as coach and the first time a female coach has produced a winning contestant.

"It's been a boys club since Season 1," the star told reporters after the finale. "[Alisan took] that stage as a hardworking mom, with this gorgeous voice ... tonight is a true victory for women and women that work hard and women that are mothers."

Aguilera last released Lotus in 2012 and will executive produce the new Spike TV music game show Tracks. Grande released her third studio album, Dangerous Woman, last week.
