LAS VEGAS, May 23 (UPI) -- Adele released her "Send My Love (to Your New Lover)" music video on Sunday.

The 28-year-old British singer debuted the video at the 2016 Billboard Music Awards, where she was nominated for eight honors, including Top Artist and Top Billboard 200 Album.

The video features multiple shots of Adele dancing that were superimposed on top of each other. The simple but gorgeous video was directed by Patrick Daughters, who has also worked with the Yeah Yeah Yeahs, Beck and Feist.

"There really isn't any editing in the video," Daughters told Entertainment Tonight. "But in a way, as you watch the video multiple times, you start to make your own edits because you focus on different layers of her performance."

"When it came to her dancing, there was no choreography, per se," he added. "This was all very natural to her. This just her being very physically expressive in a way that people aren't used to seeing."

"Send My Love (to Your New Lover)" appears on Adele's third studio album, 25, which dropped in November. The record debuted at No. 1 on the Billboard 200 and also includes the singles "Hello" and "When We Were Young."

Adele walked away with five awards at the ceremony, including Top Female Artist and Top Billboard 200 Artist. The singer is expected to sign a $130 million contract with Sony Music, the largest deal for a female recording artist in history.
