Mac 'n' cheese a mystery to Pat Robertson

WASHINGTON, Nov. 24 (UPI) -- Macaroni 'n' cheese has never crossed the lips of U.S. televangelist Pat Robertson, who asked a colleague on-air if it was "a black thing."

After watching a video in which former U.S. Secretary of State Condoleezza Rice exuded enthusiasm for the simple cheesy pasta dish for her Thanksgiving Day dinner, Robertson asked "The 700 Club" host Kristi Watts "What is this mac and cheese? Is that a black thing?" this week.

Watts replied affirmatively, Zap2it.com reported Wednesday.

"It is a black thing Pat," she said. "Listen: and you guys, other people, the world needs to get on board with macaroni and cheese. Christmas and Thanksgiving -- we have to have macaroni and cheese, and it trips me out that you don't."

Robertson replied, "I really don't, I don't, and I have never."
