LAS VEGAS, May 16 (UPI) -- Taylor Swift nixed a planned livestream of her Rock in Rio performance in Las Vegas Friday night.

TMZ reported the recording artist -- who is famously protective of her music and the way it is made available -- pulled the plug on Yahoo's online streaming of the event at the last moment, greatly upsetting some of her fans.

Swift has not publicly explained her decision.

Her set was part of a star-studded, two-weekend event. Last weekend's starter featured performances from rock acts such as No Doubt and Linkin Park. This weekend's lineup included pop stars Ed Sheeran, Bruno Mars, Echosmith, James Bay, Charli XCX and John Legend.
