LAS VEGAS, May 10 (UPI) -- No Doubt, Linkin Park and Foster the People were among the rock bands to perform during the first weekend of the 2015 Rock in Rio music festival in Las Vegas.

The concert series began this past Friday and Saturday, and also featured performances by The Pretty Reckless, Rise Against, Mana, Smallpools and Hollywood Undead. It will continue May 15-16, but those shows will instead of rock focus on pop acts such as Taylor Swift, Ed Sheeran, Echosmith and Ivete Sangalo.

"Get ready to rock. In a big way," the festival's website said. "The legendary Rock in Rio music festival that has been a phenomenon in Brazil since 1985 is coming to the United States for the first time -- and the only place you can experience it is in Las Vegas."
