LOS ANGELES, Jan. 13 (UPI) -- Hail, Caesar! has released a new trailer starring Ralph Fiennes.
The preview sees the 53-year-old English star share a funny scene with 26-year-old American actor Alden Ehrenreich as director Laurence (Fiennes) attempts to get hapless actor Tobey (Ehrenreich) to say his lines with an accent.
The new Coen brothers film takes place during the Golden Age of Hollywood and stars Josh Brolin as Hollywood fixer Eddie. The character is enlisted to find movie star Baird (George Clooney) after he is kidnapped while filming Hail, Caesar!.
Scarlett Johansson co-stars as an actress who unexpectedly becomes pregnant, with Channing Tatum as Gene Kelly-type star Burt, Tilda Swinton as gossip columnist Hedda and Frances McDormand as a film editor. Jonah Hill and Dolph Lundgren also have roles.
"It's a musical comedy that takes place on a Hollywood backlot, so you pass through all these pictures that are in production there," sound mixer Skip Lievsay said in April.
"It's actually pretty complicated, musically," composer Carter Burwell later told The Hollywood Reporter. "The themes that I'm writing for the movie have to relate to the themes of the movies within the movie. So it's actually this rug with all these threads going in and out."
Hail, Caesar! opens in theaters Feb. 5. The Coen brothers last released Inside Llewyn Davis starring Oscar Isaac in 2013, and serve as executive producers on FX series Fargo, which is inspired by their 1996 movie of the same name.
