"I'm in a good relationship," Lopez told the magazine. "I feel like I can say that for the first time -- I don't know -- maybe ever. And not that I didn't have great relationships, full of love and adventure, but this is the first relationship I've been in where I feel like we really make each other better."

"We complement each other and there's just really pure, true love," she added. "Just wanting to support the other person and make them happy. So there's a different selflessness in the love that's beautiful and different. And healthy!"

Lopez, who confirmed her relationship with Rodriguez in March, said dating the 42-year-old former New York Yankees player has inspired her to improve several different aspects of her personal life.

"I feel that I am shining brighter than I ever have -- that I'm better as a person, as a daughter, as a mother, as a friend, as a partner," she said. "I want to be better and I'm OK with all of it."

Rodriguez had nothing but praise for Lopez in an interview with Extra this week. He shares daughters Natasha and Ella with ex-wife Cynthia Scurtis, while Lopez is parent to twins Emme and Max with ex-husband Marc Anthony.

"Jennifer's the best," the retired MLB star gushed. "There is not a better role model than Jennifer. My daughters, they look up to [her], being a Latina woman in this country, doing the things she has done and the way she pays it forward."

"I can't even keep up with her jobs," he said of Lopez. "She's Superwoman."

Lopez and Rodriguez's daughter Ella visited the former Yankees player on the set of Shark Tank on Wednesday. The singer shared a photo on Instagram from the outing, writing, "Shark Tank Selfie... #oneeyedphotobomb by #Ellabella."
