'Mr. Robot' stars attend Emmy Rossum, Sam Esmail's wedding

May 29 (UPI) -- Shameless actress Emmy Rossum and Mr. Robot creator Sam Esmail exchanged wedding vows in New York over the weekend.

People magazine said the guests at the Conservative Synagogue ceremony Sunday included Robert Downey Jr., Hilary Swank, Rossum's TV dad, William H. Macy, and Mr. Robot cast members Rami Malek, Christian Slater and Charly Chaikin.

The bride wore an off-the-shoulder, white gown and a long, white veil, and Esmail chose a black suit for the occasion.

Rossum, 30, and Esmail, 39, got engaged in August 2015 after two years of dating, Us Weekly reported.

Esmail reportedly proposed to the actress while she was in the bathtub.
