HOLLYWOOD, June 27 (UPI) -- While fans are waiting for the new Gilmore Girls revival movies to come out, they have a new two-minute teaser to watch, showing Rory Gilmore helping first Lady Michelle Obama pick out books to read.

The character Rory Gilmore, played by Alexis Bledel, and known for carrying lots of books, is assisting the first lady in choosing "a great book to read on a plane" before she heads out to Liberia to promote girls' education.

After meeting with Rory, Obama ends up choosing one book to take to Liberia.

"Yeah, that's smart," Rory tells her. "Traveling light! You've got places to go, things to do!"

The teaser also plugs Obama's "Let Girls Learn" initiative, ABC News reported.

No premiere date has been announced for the upcoming Netflix revival of the Gilmore Girls original series, which ran for seven seasons, ending in 2007.

The new movie series, Gilmore Girls: A Year in the Life, also features Lauren Graham, Melissa McCarthy and Scott Patterson.
