NEW YORK, Jan. 28 (UPI) -- Mariska Hargitay met Law & Order: SVU co-star Ice-T's daughter for the first time Wednesday. The 52-year-old actress shared a photo of herself with 2-month-old Chanel on Instagram and gushed about the baby in the caption. Ice-T and wife Coco Austin welcomed their daughter in November.

Hargitay and Ice-T play Olivia Benson and Fin Tutuola on the NBC drama, respectively. The actress herself is mom to three children with husband Peter Hermann: 9-year-old son August, 4-year-old daughter Amaya and 4-year-old son Andrew.
"August wanted siblings, and Peter and I both envisioned this big family because we both come from that," the star told Good Housekeeping of adopting Amaya and Andrew. "Plus, we just had so much love to give."
"I think God is very much in us. Faith is a huge part of our life. And I think everything happens for a reason," she added. "Adoption was a bumpy ride -- very bumpy -- but God, was it worth the fight."
Ice-T married Austin in 2002, and is dad to daughter LeTesha and son Tracy with previous partners. Austin, who often shares photos of Chanel on Instagram, defended herself this month after social media users criticized a revealing dress she wore on her anniversary.
Law & Order: SVU is in its 17th season and airs Wednesdays at 9 p.m. ET. Hargitay also plays Olivia on Chicago P.D., which is set in the same universe.
