LOS ANGELES, Oct. 8 (UPI) -- Paula Patton filed for divorce from R&B singer Robin Thicke this week in Los Angeles.
Despite repeated attempts to win her back, Thicke was ultimately unsuccessful.

Patton cited irreconcilable differences in the filing, which included a Feb. 21 separation date.
The paperwork seeks joint custody of the couple's son, Julian Fuego.
The couple met 20 years ago and were married in 2005.
