Cumberbatch recreated Colin Firth's iconic lake scene from the BBC's 1995 adaptation of Pride and Prejudice. Firth portrayed Mr. Darcy in the miniseries, and stripped down and went swimming before he ran into Elizabeth Bennet (Jennifer Ehle). The picture sees Cumberbatch emerge from the lake with his shirt unbuttoned to the waist.

Photographer Jason Bell took the portrait, and also shot Kate Winslet, Jerry Hall and other celebrities for the series. The photos will be on display at La Galleria in London until September 20.
