LOS ANGELES, Sept. 16 (UPI) -- Leslie Mann will star in a reboot of National Lampoon's Vacation.
The 42-year-old actress will portray Audrey Griswold in a sequel to the classic 1983 film. The character is sister to Rusty Griswold (Ed Helms), and was originally portrayed by Dana Barron.
Chevy Chase and Beverly D'Angelo portrayed Audrey and Rusty's parents, Clark and Ellen Griswold, in the original movie, and will reprise the roles for the sequel. Skyler Gisondo and Steele Stebbins have been cast as Rusty's sons, and Christina Applegate will also star. Chris Hemsworth and Charlie Day are in negotiations for roles.
John Francis Daley and Jonathan Goldstein wrote the script and will direct the film, with Chris Bender and David Dobkin as producers. The story centers on a grown up Rusty as he takes his own family on a road trip vacation.
Mann last appeared alongside Cameron Diaz and Kate Upton in The Other Woman.
