Kate Upton celebrated her 22nd birthday in Chicago with beau Justin Verlander

CHICAGO, June 20 (UPI) -- Kate Upton turned 22 on June 11 and celebrated in the company of close friends and her on-again boyfriend Justin Verlander.

The Sports Illustrated cover girl was spotted celebrating her special day at Chicago tiki bar Three Dots and a Dash along with six of her friends. According to Page Six, the model wore a tight red dress for the celebration and sipped on champagne for a midnight toast courtesy of a friend who was unable to attend the gathering.

The The Other Woman actress was also seen with her Detroit Tigers boyfriend whose game was postponed June 12.

A week after her big day, Upton made headlines for her appearance in Lady Antebellum's "Bartender" music video alongside Tony Hale.
