ETTA JAMES: The Rev. Al Sharpton is to officiate and deliver the eulogy at recording star Etta James' private funeral service in Los Angeles, her representative said.

James died Jan. 20 at a hospital in Riverside, Calif., of complications from leukemia. She was 73.

A public viewing is to be held Friday evening at Inglewood Cemetery.

A private funeral for immediate family and friends is scheduled for Saturday at the Greater Bethany Community Church City of Refuge in Gardena, Calif.

The family has requested donations be sent to The Rhythm & Blues Foundation.

DEMI MOORE: Demi Moore's publicist says the Hollywood actress, who recently split from her husband, actor Ashton Kutcher, is being treated for exhaustion.

People.com quoted a spokesman for the Los Angeles Fire Department as saying someone was taken by ambulance from Moore's home to a hospital Monday night to be treated for "an unknown illness."

"Because of the stresses in her life right now, Demi has chosen to seek professional assistance to treat her exhaustion and improve her overall health," her representative said in a statement Tuesday. "She looks forward to getting well and is grateful for the support of her family and friends."

The publicist said Moore, 49, no longer plans to play feminist icon Gloria Steinem in "Lovelace" as planned.

'THE BACHELORETTE:' Emily Maynard, winner of Season 15 of "The Bachelor," will star in the companion U.S. dating competition series "The Bachelorette," ABC said Tuesday.

Maynard and "Bachelor" star Brad Womack announced they had ended their engagement in June, several months after the show's finale aired.

The 25-year-old Morgantown, W.V., native, who resides in Charlotte, N.C., is a full-time mother to her 6-year-old daughter with the late NASCAR driver and team owner Ricky Hendrick.

"Emily is ready for her luck to change and to bring her the love she so richly deserves," ABC said on its Web site Tuesday. "It's hard to meet men as a single mom, but Emily will have her pick of 25 bachelors when she gets a second opportunity to find love starring in the eighth edition of 'The Bachelorette' when it premieres this spring."

CLAIRE DANES: The Hasty Pudding Theatricals of Harvard University says it will bestow its Woman and Man of the Year awards on Hollywood stars Claire Danes and Jason Segel.

Organizers said they are "proud to honor such accomplished actors whose work has made an indelible mark on the world of entertainment, in both drama and comedy."

The Woman of the Year festivities will begin Thursday when Danes will lead a parade through the streets of Cambridge, after which she will be presented with her Pudding Pot at the newly named Farkas Hall, the Hasty Pudding's historic home in the heart of Harvard Square since 1889.

The Man of the Year event is scheduled for Feb. 3. Segel will be roasted, then presented with his Pudding Pot in Farkas Hall.

Segel has starred in the movies "Forgetting Sarah Marshall," "Get Him to the Greek," "Bad Teacher" and "The Muppets," as well as TV's "Freaks and Geeks" and "How I Met Your Mother."

Danes is best known for her work in TV's "Homeland," "Temple Grandin" and "My So Called Life." Her film credits include "Shopgirl," "The Hours" and "William Shakespeare's Romeo & Juliet."
