The 79-year-old TV personality has starred in various incarnations of "Live!" for nearly three decades.

"This will be my last year on this show. It's been a long time, it's been 28 years since I've been here ... . There is a time that everything must come to an end," Philbin said on the air Tuesday. "We'll have a lot of fun between now and then."

"It has been my great honor to work with Regis since the Walt Disney Company nationally syndicated 'Live!' in 1988," Janice Marinelli, president of Disney-ABC Domestic Television, said in a statement. "Regis is one of the great, iconic television personalities of our time and we couldn't have asked for a better friend and partner over the years. We will all certainly miss having Regis be a part of our day."

The show's producers said "Live!" will continue, and a new co-host will be named in the coming months.

"WABC is proud to be the home of 'Live! with Regis and Kelly,' and it will be difficult to say goodbye to Regis after 28 years as a member of our family," Dave Davis, president and general manager of WABC, said. "We will miss him as a colleague and friend. We're fortunate, however, to have two real pros who can lead 'Live!' into the future -- Kelly Ripa, (the co-host) who has spent the last 10 years developing her own amazing voice in daytime talk, and Michael Gelman, who has been with the show since its inception and is one of the best executive producers in daytime television."

BRADLEY COOPER: Charles Cooper, the stockbroker father of U.S. actor Bradley Cooper, has died following a long illness, People.com reported. He was 71.

The cause of his death last Saturday was not disclosed.

People.com said Tuesday Renee Zellweger, the actor's longtime girlfriend, skipped Sunday night's Golden Globes Awards ceremony to be with him.

Cooper is best known for his work in "The Hangover" and "The A-Team."

CHRISTINA HENDRICKS: Television actress Christina Hendricks dropped an $850,000 diamond bracelet on the red carpet at the Golden Globes ceremony in Beverly Hills, Calif.

Hendricks is one of the stars of the drama series "Mad Men."

The New York Post said Tuesday she appeared panicked as she realized a 124-carat borrowed bracelet she was wearing for Sunday's awards show had disappeared from her wrist.

As the celebrities were being shepherded to their seats, Hendricks ran back to the red carpet where the bracelet was returned to her by an event worker who found it. The actress then gave the bracelet to her publicist for safekeeping, the Post said.

"Whoever put it on her wrist may have not closed the safety clasp correctly," a representative for Chopard, the jewelry company that lent Hendricks the piece for the evening, told the Post Monday. "But both bracelets and her earrings were returned in perfect condition today."

JANUARY JONES: U.S. actress January Jones and comedian Jason Sudeikis have broken up after dating for several months, a source told UsMagazine.com.

Jones, 32, is best known for her work on the TV drama "Mad Men."

Sudeikis, 35, is a cast member on "Saturday Night Live."

"His friends don't understand why he's dating her," a source told UsMagazine.com Tuesday, suggesting why the relationship may have ended. "They call her an airhead behind his back. She doesn't get their jokes. They've only known him to date smart, funny women."
