ORLANDO, Fla., June 12 (UPI) -- Former couple Rihanna and Chris Brown separately attended Game 4 of the NBA Finals in Orlando Thursday night, witnesses said.

A source told People.com, "They requested to sit together" at the game between the Los Angeles Lakers and the Orlando Magic, however, the singers ultimately sat in separate sections.

They also went to different private lounges at half-time, eyewitnesses said.

People.com said publicists for the NBA and the recording artists declined to comment on its story.

Rihanna's lawyer said this week the pop star had been subpoenaed to appear in a Los Angeles court to testify in the assault case against Brown.

Brown, 20, has denied felony charges he beat up and threatened his then-girlfriend Rihanna, 21, during a heated argument last February.

She reportedly is scheduled to give her side of the story at a June 22 court hearing.
