Nickelodeon said nearly 8 million people tuned in to watch its 2009 Kids' Choice Awards, which took place in Los Angeles last Saturday.
The family-friendly prize presentation, which was presided over by movie star Dwayne Johnson, became the biggest KCAs to date with a record 7.7 million total viewers, the network said.
This year's KCAs marked the fourth consecutive year of growth for the awards show, Nickelodeon said, adding that 91 million fan votes were cast for this past weekend's show.
