"AMERICAN IDOL" AUDITION IN LOS ANGELES

LOS ANGELES, March 27 (UPI) -- Oil rig worker Michael Sarver became the latest contestant eliminated from this season of "American Idol" Thursday night.

The 27-year-old Texan left the show after singing a reprise of "Ain't Too Proud to Beg," the song he performed Wednesday night.

Thursday's show also included an appearance by former "Idol" winner Ruben Studdard, who sang a new song called "Together."

Joss Stone and Smokey Robinson also sang a duet and Stevie Wonder performed a medley of his hits, People.com said.
