LOS ANGELES, Oct. 1 (UPI) -- Hollywood actor Shia LaBeouf got stitches for a cut below his eyebrow after he was injured by a prop on a movie set, sources told TMZ.

The entertainment news Web site did not say what the prop was or how it managed to hurt the 22-year-old actor on the set of the sequel to his 2007 blockbuster "Transformers."

LaBeouf reportedly returned to work right after getting the stitches.

TMZ said LaBeouf's publicist declined to comment on the matter.

He previously needed surgery on his hand to repair damage sustained during the summer after he was involved in a car crash, in which another motorist allegedly ran a red light and hit his vehicle.

The actor's movie "Eagle Eye" was No. 1 at the U.S. box office last weekend.
