Will Smith nervous about daughter dating
LOS ANGELES, Oct. 4 (UPI) -- Hollywood actor Nick Cannon and model Selita Ebanks have called off their engagement and broken up, Ebanks's representative told People.com.
"Selita and Nick are taking a break to focus on their careers, but still very much love with each other and remain the best of friends," Melissa Raubvogel said.
The breakup comes five months after Cannon proposed to the Victoria's Secret model via JumboTron in New York's Times Square.
When asked in August if they had set a date for the wedding, Cannon told People: "We haven't really talked about a lot of that stuff. You've got to take it slow."
Ebanks admitted during the summer she and Cannon had different views regarding their ideal wedding.
"He's all about the bling and having a big wedding. Me? I'm all about the courthouse," she said.
