Rocker Dexter Holland enters new market

LOS ANGELES, Jan. 20 (UPI) -- The lead singer of California's pop-punk band The Offspring, Dexter Holland, has entered the hot sauce market with Gringo Bandito Hot Sauce.

The Offspring hit it big in 1998 with "Pretty Fly (for a White Guy)," and now Holland hopes to make it a second time with his new fiery concoction, the Los Angeles Times reported.

The OC Weekly's "Ask a Mexican" columnist Gustavo Arellano said it is "one of the best gabacho-made hot sauces invented." The sauce contains a blend of hot peppers and "mojo spices."

The Web site, gringobandito.com, also provides some supposedly tasty recipes using the sauce including, "Ghetto Pizza," white bread with American cheese and spaghetti sauce doused with hot sauce.

Other recipes on the site include Ramen Magnifico, made out of Top Ramen and ground beef, and Rick's Prison "Spread," described as Cheetos, canned tuna and "other crap" getting "cooked" in a plastic garbage bag, The Times said.
