
LOS ANGELES, Nov. 15 (UPI) -- Warren Beatty will be given the Cecil B. DeMille Award for lifetime achievement at next January's Golden Globe Awards.
The winner of the award, voted on by the board of directors of the Hollywood Foreign Press Association, was announced Wednesday, the Hollywood Foreign Press association reported.
Beatty will be presented with the award at "The 64th Annual Golden Globe Awards" Jan. 15 and telecast on NBC.
Beatty has received five Golden Globes, one of them for best actor in a comedy or musical for "Heaven Can Wait" and another was for best director for "Reds."
He also received a Golden Globe for producer of Best Picture (Drama) "Bugsy" and Best Picture (Comedy or Musical) for "Heaven Can Wait."
Recent Cecil B. DeMille winners include Anthony Hopkins in 2006, Robin Williams in 2005 and Michael Douglas in 2004.
Nominations for "The 64th Annual Golden Globe Awards" will be announced Dec. 14.
