John Cusack gets some 'Grace'

LOS ANGELES, March 2 (UPI) -- John Cusack is producing and starring in the indie drama "Grace Is Gone," about a family's reaction when a young military mom dies in the Iraqi war.

The film will mark the directorial debut of James C. Strouse, who wrote "Lonesome Jim," directed by Steve Buscemi and starring Casey Affleck and Liv Tyler, Daily Variety reported Thursday.

Cusack most recently appeared in "Ice Harvest" with Billy Bob Thornton and next appears in "Martian Child" with his sister Joan Cusack, Amanda Peet and Oliver Platt.
