LOS ANGELES, Aug. 27 (UPI) -- "Desperate Housewives" husband James Denton has been tapped to host this year's World Music Awards ceremony.
The awards, established in 1989, honor the best-selling artists internationally, and will be given out Sept. 13 at Hollywood's Kodak Theatre.

Among the acts scheduled to perform during the ABC broadcast are Bon Jovi, Destiny's Child, Mariah Carey and Carlos Santana.
