Oprah No. 1 on Forbes celeb list

NEW YORK, June 17 (UPI) -- Oprah Winfrey tops the new Forbes Celebrity 100 list for the first time.

"After 21 years, her daytime chat-fest still rules the airwaves, minting new celebs -- and hundreds of millions of dollars in profits," Forbes said.

Golfer Tiger Woods is No. 2 this year, followed by actor-director Mel Gibson and "Star Wars" guru George Lucas.

Rounding out the top 10 are basketball star Shaquille O'Neal, director Steven Spielberg, actor Johnny Depp, singer-actress Madonna, singer Elton John and actor Tom Cruise.
