LOS ANGELES, March 10 (UPI) -- Harry Thomason and Linda Bloodworth-Thomason, who advised former President Bill Clinton, are returning to Hollywood producing, Daily Variety said Thursday.
The paper said that Thomason and Bloodworth-Thomason plan to adapt Bloodworth-Thomason's novel "Liberating Paris" for the big screen.
The book, published by William Morrow, is described as the story of six small town Southern friends who reunite as they reach their 40s. Variety said the cast is to include Michelle Pfeiffer, Billy Bob Thornton and Dwight Yoakam.
Bloodworth-Thomason -- who created the Emmy-nominated TV comedy "Designing Women" -- told the paper that after taking time out from Hollywood to advise Clinton during his two terms in the White House, she has some catching up to do.
"I feel like we're 10 years behind," she said. "In 1992, I had three TV shows, 300 employees and a $50 million contract with CBS. At the end of the Clinton presidency, I had no television show, one secretary, and Kenneth Starr was in possession of every piece of paper I owned, including my phone records."
Bloodworth-Thomason has directed four films for the Clinton library.
