Britney Spears sued over 'Zone' title

SAN DIEGO, Sept. 10 (UPI) -- Lite Breeze, a California athletic company, claims pop star Britney Spears owes it millions for using its "In The Zone" trademark.

Company officials filed suit against Spears in February for using the phrase as the title of her 2003 album.

Spears was served with the legal papers in May, World Entertainment News Network said Friday.

Lite Breeze's attorneys now say they are going after the pop superstar's entire "In The Zone" catalogue of merchandise and clothing to make an example of her.

The trial is expected to begin next year.
