Kiefer Sutherland strips in New Zealand

RAETIHI, New Zealand, July 22 (UPI) -- Kiefer Sutherland, filming in New Zealand, jumped onto a nightclub stage of a male revue and started stripping.

The New Zealand Herald reported Thursday that the star of Fox's "24" had been drinking with some of the cast and crew of the film in the Raetihi Cosmopolitan Club last Thursday where a revue was being staged for all-woman audience in the next room.

"Twice during the first half of the show, Sutherland took off his shoes and passed into the roped-off 'women only' area of the bar to join the Men of Steel," the Herald said.

In a scene reminiscent of the British movie "The Full Monty" Sutherland removed his socks and shirt to the tune of Tom Jones' "You Can Leave Your Hat On," and was then ushered off stage.
