Testing for new Caped Crusader to start

LOS ANGELES, Sept. 3 (UPI) -- Holy casting, Batman -- director Christopher Nolan is expected to test several young actors for the role of Caped Cursader in the next few days.

The Hollywood Reporter says the Bat Signal has been lit over Burbank where Nolan is zeroing in on Jake Gyllenhaal, Christian Bale, Joshua Jackson ("Dawson's Creek"), Cillian Murphy ("28 Days Later"), Henry Cavill ("I Capture the Castle") and Eion Bailey, who stars in the upcoming HBO feature "And Starring Pancho Villa as Himself." Also reported hoping to test for the role is Hugh Dancy, who is shooting the Disney pic, "King Arthur."

Shooting on the Warner Brothers flick is set to begin in February.
