Booz Allen set for Kuwait operations

MCLEAN, Va., May 30 (UPI) -- U.S. consulting and management firm Booz Allen Hamilton is expanding into Kuwait to provide specialist services to government and commercial clients.

Registration with the Kuwait Ministry of Commerce and Industry was conducted through an in-country agent, which it didn't identify in its announcement.

Booz Allen Hamilton said its offering in Kuwait will be focused on economic development in the areas of information technology, cybersecurity, transportation and other selected infrastructure.

"Kuwait is taking significant steps toward establishing itself a regional center of excellence in the areas of energy, finance and trade," said Don Pressley, the company's senior vice president who leads the firm's Middle East and North Africa operations.

"Additionally, the government is supporting infrastructure projects and social programs designed to drive new foreign direct investment into the country and streamline global trade.

"Our strategic approach will be tailored to these specific needs and supported by our global expertise."

Booz Allen Hamilton has a MENA regional headquarters in Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates.
