FALLS CHURCH, Va., June 10 (UPI) -- Virginia's General Dynamics has received $876 million U.S. Department of Homeland Security contract for information technology work.
Under the terms of the agreement General Dynamics will support the relocation of the U.S. Department of Homeland Security's headquarters, with the contract lasting up to seven years if all options are exercised, the company said.
"In partnership with GSA, General Dynamics will provide a state-of-the art IT infrastructure that meets the Department of Homeland Security's requirements today, tomorrow and into the future," said General Dynamics Information Technology President Dan Johnson.
"The General Dynamics team has unmatched experience and capabilities in providing comprehensive IT infrastructure on this scale and our goal is to ensure that (Homeland Security's) plans and vision for the new campus will be achieved on time and on budget."
General Dynamics support to the Homeland Security Department includes designing, developing and installing an entirely new information technology infrastructure.
