Russian Helicopters to provide support for Thai, Indonesian air forces

Supply contract deal was signed during the Army 2016 International Military-Technical Forum.

MOSCOW, Sept. 9 (UPI) -- Russian Helicopters has signed supply contracts to provide support services for the Thai and Indonesian air forces, the company announced this week.

The Indonesian contract involves supply rotor blade sets for the Mi-35P helicopters the service currently uses, the company said in a statement.

Under the contract, the company will deliver the order next year.

The Thai contract will supply aviation inventory for the Mi-17V-5 helicopters operated by that force, including lifting rotor and anti-torque rotor sets.

The deals will ensure a steady supply of parts for Russia-made helicopters, officials said.
