Mexican navy to get Black Hawk simulator

U.S. Army contract with Rockwell Collins will provide the transportable simulator.

WASHINGTON, May 13 (UPI) -- Rockwell Collins Simulation and Training Solutions has been awarded a $12 million, multi-year, firm-fixed-price, foreign military sales contract from the U.S. Army to provide a transportable Black Hawk operation simulator for the Mexican navy.

Work will be performed in Mexico with an estimated completion date of September 2018.

Sikorsky Aircraft, a division of Lockheed Martin, received a $54 million U.S. Army contract last month for the construction and modification of seven specialized variants of its UH-60M Black Hawk helicopter for the Mexican military.
