FORT WORTH, Texas, Sept. 25 (UPI) -- The night targeting system used on U.S. Marine Corps AH-1W Super Cobra helicopters will receive depot-level service and support from Elbit Systems of America.

The five-year indefinite-delivery/indefinite-quantity award was given to Elbit's Merrimack, N.H., facility and is worth $44.8 million.

Elbit said separate delivery orders will be issued during the length of the contract for each year's requirements of nine weapons replacement assemblies, which make up the night targeting system.

"The award is representative of more than 20 years of successful performance and customer satisfaction on both the NTS and successor NTS Upgrade (NTSU) programs," said Raanan Horowitz, Elbit Systems of America president and chief executive officer. "Our mission is to provide systems and services that protect and save lives. We look forward to the opportunity to provide rapid, quality support for our men and women in uniform."

Elbit Systems of America is a wholly owned subsidiary of Israel's Elbit Systems Ltd. The New Hampshire facility has repaired night targeting systems since 1992.
