FALLS CHURCH, Va., Sept. 20 (UPI) -- The U.S. Department of Homeland Security has selected technology company CSC to provide continuous monitoring and tools for government networks.
The cyber-security work will be conducted under DHS' Continuous Diagnostics and Mitigation (CDM), Tools and Continuous Monitoring as a Service (CMaaS), contract, which has a one-year period of performance and four one-year options.
CSC is one of 15 companies given the blanket purchase agreement, which carries a value of as much as $6 billion for all companies.
"Complex government networks require advanced solutions that can provide broad threat detection while meeting constantly evolving requirements," said Samuel Visner, vice president and general manager, CSC Global Cybersecurity. "As we move forward under this program, we will help the government take advantage of the best cyber-security solutions and services on the market today."
CSC said it will offer cyber-security solutions for DHS and other government agencies including Horizon, a recently launched managed service that provides real-time continuous monitoring of the client's cyber-security status through the use of vulnerability analysis, exploit discovery, threat remediation and recovery services.
