WASHINGTON, July 24 (UPI) -- The U.S. military's Weapons Technical Intelligence Improvised Explosive Device Handbook and Lexicon is to be revised by A-T Solutions Inc.

The anti- and counter-terrorism professional solutions firm said a contract for the revision was received from the U.S. Department of Defense's Joint Improvised Explosive Device Defeat Organization, with which it has a 5-year, $198 million support contract.

"We are proud that the JIEDDO has chosen us to assist them in this mission-critical task," said Dennis Kelly, president and chief executive officer of A-T Solutions. "As new types of IEDs continue to be developed and deployed rapidly around the world by our enemies abroad, the need for rapid, accurate intelligence and insight on this threat is an enduring mission."

A-T Solutions will revise the WTI Handbook and Family of Lexicons with the latest information related to specific methods and techniques in handling IEDs. Details on the future integration of counter-IED processes and technology enhancements -- as well as anticipated problem areas and risks -- will be included.
