SPAWAR taps Iron Bow for support

CHANTILLY, Va., May 30 (UPI) -- The U.S. Space and Naval Warfare Systems Center Atlantic has given Iron Bow Technologies LLC a support contract for advanced procurement of equipment.

The commercial-off-the-shelf Network and Communications Equipment and Related Incidental Support Services contract has a one-year base performance period and four one-year renewal options.

The estimated value of the fixed-price, indefinite-delivery/indefinite-quantity award is $500 million.

"Iron Bow has a long-standing history of providing defense agencies with best of breed technology solutions," said Rene LaVigne, president and chief executive officer of Iron Bow, an IT solutions company.

"We are committed to providing SPAWAR with IT solutions that enable critical technology requirements and various forms of disparate communications seamlessly and punctually."

Under the award, Iron Bow will provide SPAWAR with a streamlined process for procuring necessary advanced communications and IT equipment, as well as providing support services for the delivery of mission-critical data.
