GTRI wins SPAWAR contract spot

DENVER, May 10 (UPI) -- A Denver small business has won a spot on a U.S. Navy contract vehicle to provide commercial off-the-shelf communications products to the U.S. government.

Global Technology Resources Inc. said the indefinite-delivery/indefinite-quantity contract from the Space and Naval Warfare Systems Center Atlantic is for one year, with four one-year options.

Its total value for nine competed prime contractors and eight non-competed set-aside contractors is $500 million.

"GTRI is thrilled to add this contract to our portfolio of prime federal contracts," said Barb Beckner, director of Capture Management at GTRI. "We are especially proud to continue our support of U.S. NAVY SPAWAR Systems Atlantic Contracting team and their clients."

SPAWAR systems centers handle the acquisition, integration, and fielding – as well as logistics support – of network and communications systems. The work is performed for both military and civilian U.S. government agencies.

This particular award covers communications products associated with intelligence, surveillance and reconnaissance operations.
