NEW YORK, Aug. 17 (UPI) -- U.S. Training Center Inc. has been awarded a U.S. Department of Defense task order in support of counter-narcoterrorism activities in Afghanistan.
Under the order, USTC will be responsible for providing all-source intelligence analyst support and material procurement for U.S. and coalition forces in Afghanistan through the Counter-Narcoterrorism Technology Program Office's TORP 0236 Afghanistan Combined Joint Interagency Task Force NEXUS Support Task Order.
The task order is valued at $17.6 million.
"While we are best known for our security and training services, this task order recognizes USTC's ability to provide outstanding all-source intelligence expertise in support of our clients' missions," said Ted Wright, chief executive officer of Xe Services. "We are very proud to support CNTPO's mission to combat global narcoterrorism."
Xe Services LLC is USTC's parent company. It was acquired last year by USTC Holdings LLC, an investor consortium.
Upon acquiring Xe and its core operating businesses last year, USTC Holdings indicated it would rebuild the company into a new entity with enhanced governance, leadership, accountability and transparency.
This task order award represents another step in this new phase of corporate development, USTC Holdings said.
USTC is a leading provider of training and security services focused on worldwide operations in support of the U.S. government and other customers.
