The company said the agreement exercises the fifth year of an existing contract.

Under a separate one-year contract extension, worth $43 million, Rolls-Royce will provide support J and K variant C-130s operated by the British air force. The agreement was signed with Marshall Aerospace, the prime contractor for the Hercules Integrated Operational Support program.

"Rolls-Royce is the world leader in engines for military transport aircraft. The award of these two important contracts highlights that we are trusted to deliver innovative support solutions which provide the customer with both increased engine availability and reduced ownership costs," said Paul Craig, Rolls-Royce's executive vice president for defense services.
