CACI selects new VP in cyber group

ARLINGTON, Va., May 28 (UPI) -- CACI International Inc. selected a U.S. counterintelligence and counter-terrorism expert for an executive position in the company's Cyber Solutions Group.

CACI, which has headquarters in Virginia, announced the appointment of Gregory Scovel as the new Cyber Law Enforcement and Force Protection Division vice president.

Scovel is the former acting director of the Naval Criminal Investigative Service. With more than 30 years of experience with the Naval Criminal Investigative Service, Scovel joins CACI Cyber Solutions Group to lead strategic initiatives in the field of cybersecurity and force protection.

CACI selected Scovel in a move to strengthen its presence in cyber forensics and counter-terrorism to address evolving requirements in the defense and homeland security market.

"I look forward to using my experience and skill sets to reinforce the company's work in areas such as information technology security, countering the asymmetric threat and helping to protect our nation's logistics supply chain," Scovel said in a statement.
