Brijot selected to deliver LORPI prototype

ORLANDO, Fla., Feb. 18 (UPI) -- The U.S. Air Force has contracted Brijot Imaging Systems Inc. to deliver a Long-Range Personnel Imager screening technology prototype.

U.S. company Brijot, a developer of passive millimeter wave imaging solutions, was selected for the contract from the Air Force Materiel Command at Hanscom Air Force Base in Massachusetts.

Under the approximately $3.65 million deal, Brijot says its will deliver a next-generation screening technology to support the military's illicit threat detection operations.

The contract, sponsored by the Defense Department's Joint Improvised Explosive Device Defeat Organization, includes the development and delivery of a LORPI prototype.
