HORSEHEADS, N.Y., Dec. 21 (UPI) -- Saudi Arabia has received two S-434 helicopters from Sikorsky Global Helicopters as part of its new light helicopter fleet.
U.S. company Sikorsky announced it delivered the S-434 light turbine helicopters, designed to support defense and civilian light utility operations, to the Saudi Arabian Ministry of the Interior.
Sikorsky says the delivery of the S-434 helicopters, a next-generation of the company's S-333 light helicopter, is part of a larger contract that includes delivery of nine aircraft to Saudi Arabian authorities.
"With these deliveries, the S-434 helicopter turns a page in its early history," David Horton, Sikorsky Global Helicopters Light Helicopter Division general manager, said in a statement.
"We are proud to begin this relationship with the Ministry of the Interior and look forward to the further growth of this product line."
