Booz Allen awarded Army ARDEC deal

PICATINNY, N.J., July 22 (UPI) -- The U.S. Army has contracted Booz Allen Hamilton to provide the Research Development Engineering Command with support services.

U.S. company Booz Allen was selected by the Army to provide the Research Development Engineering Command's Armament Research, Development and Engineering Center with engineering, scientific and acquisition support.

Booz Allen is one of five companies selected by the Army for a contract worth $300 million for the companies. The Armament Research, Development and Engineering Center is designed to rapidly respond to armament-related requirements from the Army.

"This contract enables Booz Allen to extend its long standing support in rapid prototyping and deployment, and technology innovation, into the Army armaments community and their clients," Larry Scheuble, Booz Allen vice president, said in a statement.

"We are excited about the breadth of requirements and opportunities, and look forward to continuing to build on our strong relationship with the U.S. Army and Department of Defense."
