CPU Tech marks milestone with BAE delivery

PLEASANTON, Calif., July 15 (UPI) -- CPU Technology marked a milestone in a contract with BAE for its remote terminal technologies used in the Bradley Combat System deployed by the U.S. military.

U.S. company CPU Tech announced it has delivered its 1,750th Position Interface Box to BAE Systems. The Position Interface Box technology is installed on the Bradley Combat System to collect 25mm gun and missile launcher angular information among other data.

CPU Tech says the delivery of the Position Interface Box marks a milestone achievement for the contract with BAE.

"This is a great milestone for both BAE Systems and CPU Tech," Brad Dyer, CPU Tech vice president of operations, said in a statement.

"Since delivering a working prototype in just 92 days of receiving the technical data package, we've worked closely with BAE Systems to ensure that the product is meeting all requirements for delivery, reliability, and overall cost of ownership. We're proud to say that this product has been a great success for both BAE Systems and CPU Tech."
