STAFFORD, Va., July 1 (UPI) -- The U.S. Marine Corps has contracted QinetiQ North America to provide the Autonomic Logistics Program with engineering services.

U.S. company QinetiQ says its Systems Engineering Group was awarded the contract from the Marine Corps Systems Command Acquisition Center for Support Services.

Under the $17.4 million deal, QinetiQ will provide the Marine Corps Systems Command's Autonomic Logistics Program, designed to support mine resistant ambush protected vehicles and other ground tactical equipment, with engineering, testing and evaluation support among other requirements.

"To support the Autonomic Logistics family of systems effort, we have assembled an experienced and operationally relevant team that's focused on providing the highest quality of technical and analytical support possible to the Marine Corps," Nylda Conde, QinetiQ North America Engineering and Technical Services Division senior vice president, said in a statement.
