CSC to provide aircraft support

FALLS CHURCH, Va., May 7 (UPI) -- The U.S. Air Force has contracted CSC to provide comprehensive rotary-wing aircraft maintenance and support services.

U.S. company CSC was awarded eight logistics and maintenance support task orders through the contract field teams contract vehicle. Under the $347 million in orders, CSC will provide aircraft maintenance services for Army Regional Aviation Sustainment Management-East and -West.

Officials said the task orders include work on rotary-wing aircraft previously deployed for U.S. operations in Iraq. CSC will repair the aircraft in preparation for redeployment.

"CSC proudly continues our support of military personnel through our critical aviation maintenance and modification services for the Army," Alan Weakley, CSC North American Public Sector Applied Technology Group president, said in a statement.

"CSC's Applied Technology Group is responsible for a large portion of the U.S. Army's aircraft maintenance and modification services in the contiguous United States, and these new task orders are a testament to CSC's solid leadership and proven expertise in this area."
